Today I am sharing one of my favorite, easy dinner recipes: Sausage & Potatoes.
The ingredients are simple:
-1 can cream of potato soup
-sausage (I use turkey sausage, but any precooked sausage will work)
-cajun seasoning (my preferred seasoning is Slap Ya Mama)
-potatoes (I normally use golden potatoes, but accidentally added Russet potatoes to my grocery pickup cart, both work, but golden are better in my opinion)
Whatever potatoes you choose to use, just chop them up in to bite-size pieces and place in your crockpot.
Then, slice up your sausage.
Add the cream of potato soup and your seasoning to taste. I do not do an exact measurement, but I like a little spice, so I tend to add a good amount.
Then just add enough chicken broth to cover the sausage and potatoes. Mix everything together and heat on low for 4-6 hours.
It will look kind of soupy when it is done, but the juice is good for flavoring.
To serve, I just drain the sausage and potatoes and leave a little bit of juice in the bowl for flavoring.
This is a super easy dish. Pair it with a side of green beans and you have a dinner made simple.
