On New Year’s Day, I shared the process I took to set my goals and resolutions for 2020. I talked a bit about how I am going to try and break these goals down into action steps each month.
If you missed my 2020 New Year’s Resolutions post, you can find it here:

These are my 2020 January Action Steps:
Tasks:
These are all tasks that will help me reach my goals, but may not need to be repeated.
- Listen to one podcast for grad school
- apply to be a MAW volunteer
- make a list of books to read
- make a list of churches to try
- sign up ACT writing (I actually need this for my undergrad degree program)
Weekly Goals:
These are goals I would like to do once a week this month.
- blog 3x
- plan @kaden_plans planner posts ahead of time
- meal prep lunches
Daily Goals:
These are goals I would like to do everyday this month.
- evening routine
- devotional
I wanted to try and keep it simple and not overwhelm myself with trying to achieve ALL of my goals during January, in hopes of avoiding burnout.

I am keeping track of this month’s goals in my Erin Condren planner, in the monthly tracker spread. I am not sure if I will use this layout for my goals all year, but this is what I came up with for this month.
I have no clue if I gave myself too much or not enough, but I will do a recap at the end of January, when I set my goals for February. I hope this was helpful for those of you trying to break down big goals into more attainable action steps.
