As June winds down and we transition into the second quarter of 2020, I have spent some time reflecting on the past month. I put a lot of effort towards working on my goals and I am pleased with the progress that I made.
To get a more in depth look at how last month’s goals went, make sure to check out my YouTube video where I explain why the goals that I set either worked or did not work and the changes that I made going forward into July.
As a quick recap, I used the Cultivate What Matters Powersheets to set goals and I chose seven categories in my life to work on improving.
- Social Media
Using my powersheets, I have set monthly, weekly, and daily goals that are all working towards these larger categories.
- read two books (personal)
- finish editing memoir (personal)
- write out recipes (personal)
- organize vanity (personal)
- complete practice test (school)
- research essay topics (school)
- wednesday content ready on monday (social)
- friday content ready on wednesday (social)
- monday content ready on saturday (social)
- In Case You Missed it graphic + weekly wallpapers on sundays (social)
- check on a friend (relationships)
- review 4x (school)
- get active 4x (health)
- quiet time (faith)
- post on social media (social)
- skincare (personal)
- track meals (health)
- stick to budget (finance)
In addition to these goals, I am also aiming to track the amount of water that I drink. I mentioned this in my video, but I am wanting to drink more water. I drink water regularly and it is usually my drink of choice, but I am still not drinking enough.
A lot of these goals are carried over from last month. Some of these, I moved between daily, weekly, and monthly to better fit my habits and some of these are in the same category as I continue to build on them.
I am looking forward to another productive month!

On Wednesday, I wrote about activities that I am doing during this period of self-isolation. In my post, I referenced activities that I am making daily intentions. I chose the word intentions specifically, as these are not goals. I have seen some recent chatter within the planner community about the difference in goals and intentions,… Read More Intentions vs. Goals
Choosing a word of the year is an annual trend among goal setters, so it is only natural that during my goal setting, I decided to choose a word for 2020. My friend, Naina and I were discussing potential 2020 word of the year options, when she suggested “share” for me. I liked the idea… Read More Word of the Year: 2020
