I still have about a month left before the fall semester begins and the boredom is really setting in. Now is normally the time that people are vacationing and so many of you are stuck at home due to the impact of the pandemic. I though it might be fun to share some ideas to keep the days entertaining while staying home this summer.

I have had a blog for years and have wanted to start a YouTube channel for a while. It was not until the quarantine when I really had the time to learn the logistics of it. Over the summer, I have had fun creating videos.

By no means am I artistic at all, but I have found painting to be a creative outlet during this time. You can do any form of art though, painting is just my choice!

I am always a huge advocate for writing. I try to write in some capacity everyday, whether it be on my blog, poetry, or working on larger projects.
You do not have to be a writer to write though! I always recommend journaling. Even guided journaling is a good way to get your ideas on to paper.

This seems to be the most popular activity during the quarantine. Make sure to check out my blog posts sharing my top Netflix and HULU shows to watch!

This is also a good time to reorganize, purge, and clean out your closet, or any area of your home that has gotten chaotic.

Many people are using this time to take online courses. There are various courses for just about anything! My friend, Naina recommends the Happiness Course offered by Yale.

This is a stressful time for all of us and there is nothing that pizza does not help. I really enjoy getting takeout on the weekend to celebrate surviving another week!

And because of all the takeout, I have started a fitness journey. I am not much of the athlete and I do not tend to enjoy it, but I have had fun doing the Chloe Ting Home Workouts this summer. If nothing else, it is good to get up off the couch.

Believe it or not, I am not a huge fan of reading. Despite studying English, I do not enjoy doing it during my free time. I have set a goal to read more, but I am balancing it between reading a physical book and listening to books on audible. Either way, it is a nice way to keep my mind moving.

So many people have used this time as an opportunity to start a new business. Etsy is booming with ideas; beaded bracelets and clay earrings are super trendy and a fun way to bring in some extra income!
I hope these ideas have given you some motivation and inspiration to keep your summer days fun despite the circumstances!
Let me know what you are doing to pass the time this summer!

Social Distancing Activities

Round 35 + COVID 19
This week, I am completing my 35th round of chemo! It always blows my mind when I stop and think about the amount of treatment I have completed (and likely still have to go).
